Description :
The aim of this project is to develop, test, and validate the use of tools to measure changes in sensory perception and food preferences in children aged 7 to 17 years with cancer undergoing chemotherapy, and thus understand the consequences of sensory alterations on eating behavior. Cancer treatments in children are highly toxic and cause side effects such as nausea, vomiting, mucosal irritation, loss of appetite, and altered taste, which reduces the pleasure of eating and food intake. Despite this, the impact of sensory alterations on eating behaviors, preferences, and habits remains poorly understood in these patients.
